Garrett Adler was born in Golden, Colorado. However, he did not start climbing seriously until his freshman year at the University of Northern Colorado. While attending UNC Garrett was the Coach of the climbing team, and through that developed his love for competition climbing. Garrett now focuses on outdoor bouldering and sport climbing. Now that Garrett has graduated, he is focusing on climbing outside as much as possible and climbing some of the world class boulders in RMNP and across the front range.

What is your first memory of being really psyched? The first time I was really psyched would be when I thought I climbed my first V5. I was climbing at Morrison and climbed what I was sure was a V5, and went nuts when I finished the climb. Then I got down and some guy told me I had done something that was like, V2. I was so bummed haha.
