Andrew Lee

Andrew “Stonewall” Lee currently resides in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he coaches the CSU Climbing Team. In addition to running three practices a week, he also follows a personal indoor training program and climbs outside as often as possible, weather permitting. He loves all things nerd, including video games, Star Wars, comic books, Doctor Who, the Whedonverse, and Tolkien. Favorite foods include pizza and peanut butter. His musical tastes are wide and varied, but center on metal and hard rock. Andrew’s climbing goals for the coming year involve finishing top 30 at ABS Nationals, coaching the CSU Climbing Team to a CCS National Championship, and sending V13.

Andrew is originally from Anchorage, Alaska and can often be seen languishing in the heat of Colorado’s non-arctic climate. His nickname of “Stonewall” comes from a former boss, who upon forgetting his name referred to him as “Andrew Jackson” and then “Stonewall Jackson”. Coworkers ensured that the nickname stuck. Andrew’s ultimate goal in life, career-wise, is to own and operate his own climbing gym.

Number one song played on your ipod? “All Consuming Fire”—War of Ages

Winter or Summer? Winter. Better temps for climbing, and I love snow.

Lifetime climbing goals? The list is long. I want to boulder V14, sport climb 5.14c, and send double digit boulder problems on every continent.
