Ian started climbing at Devil’s Lake, Wisconsin as a young kid. He was hooked and after high school and in 2002 he moved out to Bishop, California and really got the bug. What followed were years of climbing all over the country and world. Ian loves to travel, and doesn’t see that changing anytime in the near future. These days Ian is mainly a boulderer, though he hold a deep love for alpine climbing and has a strong background in traditional climbing. Ian is a climbing guide and instructor by trade. He has also worked plenty of random jobs to help fund trips and make ends meet. His favorite aspect of climbing is exploring and trying to find perfect new lines and the process that follows once you find them. Ian enjoys writing, filming, and photography. He loves pushing himself and more days than not he is looking for things he can just barely do. His thoughts are if you’re not failing a lot, then you’re not trying stuff that’s hard for you. Currently Ian’s in Bishop once again and is trying to put some old projects to rest.
Winter or Summer? Fall or spring.

If you won the lottery what’s the first thing you would do? I would put the money away and think about the best thing to do with it for at least a month.
