Adam is passionate about all things climbing – projecting in the Bow Valley, bouldering in Bishop, fun trips to Skaha, participating in local competitions, setting new boulders and routes in the local gym, watching climbing movies/competitions/videos, collecting climbing brushes… you get the idea.
Climbing for Adam came at a crucial time, when his life was heading in the wrong direction. His mother purchased a beginner lesson for him hoping he would meet the right kind of friends. It worked and he was hooked, spending every free minute he could at the gym. The local gym owner took him under his wing and gave him odd jobs in return for payment of a membership. Soon he was setting routes, helping to teach lessons and coach, while furthering his climbing enthusiasm at the nearby areas – Red River Gorge, Lions Head, Niagara Glen, etc. Adam continued his journey west to Calgary, Alberta, which has amazing limestone sport climbing and where he’s had the opportunity to meet many talented and similarly passionate individuals.
Most days (weather permitting) you can find Adam at the local crag where he’ll be happy to share his beta and experiences with you. He currently has his sights on his first 5.14 and to return to Bishop in hopes of sending Mandala V12.
Adam could never have accomplished any of his climbing achievements without his first lesson, meeting great friends and having Evolv beside him keeping his feet glued to the rock.
